Epoxy resins, which are generally obtained by the reaction between epichlorohydrin and bisphenol A, turn from a low viscosity liquid to a high viscosity liquid and finally to a solid state as their molecular weight increases. Solid epoxy resins produced as flakes are predominantly preferred in powder paints. The main feature of solid epoxy resin is its high chemical and mechanical resistance.
